Frequently asked questions
If your question is not here, message us — a person answers.
How do I book a room?
Open the property you want and tap "Check availability". That starts a WhatsApp conversation where you give your dates, how many of you there are and a name — no form to fill in, no account, nothing to pay. Booking is live at the hotels that have joined our system so far; at the rest, Lena will tell you straight away rather than take your details, and show you what she can book instead.
How quickly is my booking confirmed?
On the spot. A hotel joins our system by handing us its real room list, which means we know exactly which rooms are free on your dates — so the room is checked, chosen and confirmed in the chat, with a reference and a room number, at two in the morning if that is when you are booking. There is no waiting for anyone to wake up and no request sitting in a queue.
Does it cost anything to use this site?
No — nothing, at any point. Browsing every listing, photo and price is free and there is no account to create, and booking is free too: no booking fee, no service charge, nothing added to the price the property quotes you. You pay the hotel for the room when you arrive, and that is all.
Are these listings real, or scraped from somewhere?
Real. Someone from our team walked into every property on this site and recorded the room types, the prices, what the place has, and what the street is like at night. To be clear about what that is and is not: we ask, we look, and we write it down — we do not test the generator or time the wifi, so anything we list as present is what we were told or could see. A property stays hidden until we have been there. The photographs are the hotel's own, from the page where they published them, or ours from the visit — never stock images and never lifted from another booking site.
Why book here instead of just turning up at the hotel?
Because turning up is a gamble and booking is not. The property confirms in writing that they have your room, you get a reference and your own page for it, and you can cancel free within 24 hours if that is more than 48 hours before check-in. If they go quiet, we chase them.
What if something is wrong, or I need something, when I get there?
Tell us in the same WhatsApp chat you booked in — type "problem" and say what it is. It does not have to be a complaint: a towel, slippers or a late checkout count just as much as the water or the noise next door. A person reads it while you are still in the room, not after you have gone. Where we hold the front desk’s own line it goes straight to them; where we do not, we take it up with the hotel ourselves and tell you plainly that is what happened. We will not promise you it gets fixed — that part is the hotel’s — but it is written down against that property with the date on it, and when you leave you can say how it went in a review that is public on their own page. Type "stay" in the same chat and it will also tell you what is around you: food, a pharmacy, a cash point, what a taxi should cost.
Are the prices accurate?
They are the rates we recorded when we last visited or spoke to the property, shown as a range across room tiers. Hotels do change prices — especially over holidays and events — so treat the range as a reliable guide and confirm the exact rate when you message.
When do I pay, and what do I pay for?
You pay the property, on arrival, at their own rate — and that is the only money involved. We add nothing on top and take nothing out of it, so booking here costs you nothing at all. We are building online payment; until it is properly tested we would rather not put your money through something half-finished.
Why can I not book every hotel on this site?
You can book all but two of them, and those two are our fault rather than theirs: we never collected a mobile number on the visit, so a request from us would reach nobody, and we would rather say that than send you somewhere on a promise we cannot keep. Everything else about those two stays available — the photographs, the prices, the rating, the area notes, and any question you want to ask. For every other property, a booking is a request the hotel answers; only one of them holds its room list with us and can confirm on the spot.
Why are there no reviews on some properties?
We only publish reviews from people who actually stayed somewhere after finding it through us, and we launched recently — so there are very few so far. We would rather show none than pad the page with reviews we cannot stand behind.
Do you cover anywhere outside Buea?
Not yet, and that is on purpose. Buea is where we can genuinely walk into every property and keep the details current, which is the only reason anything on this site is worth trusting. Limbe is being surveyed now — an estimated 45–100 properties, and it goes live the same way: nothing is listed until somebody has been there.
I run a hotel — how do I get listed?
Message us on WhatsApp. We come to you, photograph the property and record your room tiers. Everything here is free for hotels — no fee, no commission, no contract, and no end date. Your listing, your bookings, your arrivals, your guests' numbers, your monthly figures, live availability and Swift Desk — the front desk your staff run from their own phones — all of it, at no cost. We do not take a cut of your room price and we never will; guests pay us a small booking & hold fee on top of your rate, which is how this is paid for. You are not being sold anything.
